March is here, and we are officially 19 days away from the Spring Equinox.
What a winter, eh? This winter was not only bitter cold, but it felt incessant. Winter persevered- persisted- and it dragged many of us into its depths, I think. It was a tough one, but, the only way out is through, as they say.
We have almost made it through.
Which reminds me of this beautiful poem by Emily Dickinson:
A Light Exists in Spring
A LIGHT exists in spring
Not present on the year
At any other period.
When March is scarcely here
A color stands abroad
On solitary hills
That silence cannot overtake,
But human nature feels.
It waits upon the lawn;
It shows the furthest tree
Upon the furthest slope we know;
It almost speaks to me.
Then, as horizons step,
Or noons report away,
Without the formula of sound,
It passes, and we stay:
A quality of loss
Affecting our content,
As trade had suddenly encroached
Upon a sacrament.
I love this poem and recalled it because I have noticed, on several occasions, the last few days in particular, as we inch our way towards March, the way the light has shifted- the feeling it evokes has, too.
Winter light has its own special hue, and the oncoming light of Spring carries its own special glow, too. One, not better than the other- both equally enchanting. What really stands out to me about this poem is the quality she eludes to when describing the light- divine- and in conjunction with the backdrop or landscape as it falls against all of nature…
and then, how it shifts, evolves, changes- it is temporary.
As we make our way from the depths of the darkness this winter, back into the light, let us be held and supported by that levity.
When we are in the hard- in the trenches- in the dark- and also, in the light-and everywhere on the spectrum in between- may we remember that nothing is forever. So, to be present, which is the language of Love, is our work, and greatest Practice.
This is our highest aim at Synergy: to invite in a mindful presence to what we are doing, no matter what it is that we are doing, or who we are doing it with.

Saturday, March 8th - Monday, March 10th MIDWINTER RECESS! With the intention of all instructors and staff taking a true break, we have decided to Power Down and IN, as we gear up for the heightened energetic shift that often accompanies Spring. We wanted to give ourselves, and you, concerted time to slow down, or take a beat in the ways that feel nourishing to all of us. We will be back in action on Tuesday, March 11th with our full schedule beginning at 5:30AM!
Saturday, March 22nd, 12PM-1:15PM Spring Equinox Flow with Crystal!! Join Crystal for this 75 minute Vinyasa flow class to welcome in the Spring Equinox. Expect story telling, asana, pranayama, and time to rest in the midst of the burgeoning and blossoming that is happening under the surface, with the incoming seasonal shift. Saturday, March 22nd Open House SIP AND SEE! Never been to Synergy but been wanting to check us out? **Sign up here** for one of 5 FREE 20 minute walk-throughs beginning at 2PM-3:40PM. During this meet and greet, you can expect to meet our Studio Manager, Owner and Founder, and some of our Instructing Team! This is a great time to tour our space, learn more about our offerings, ask any questions, and set up an account if you have been wanting to try out our studio! Proper bike setup is essential for a safe and enjoyable class. Our team will guide you through adjustments tailored to your height, experience, and any physical limitations. Plus, we'll teach you proper form, the 3 core hand positions, and how to safely dismount when class is over.
Tips for Maximizing Your Ride
Things to bring to your SPIN workout:
Breathable clothing and socks
A small towel and water bottle (maybe some electrolytes! Or grab one at the front desk!)
Optional: your own spin shoes (our bikes are SPD-compatible, and we do offer shoe rental free of charge!)
Things to keep in mind on the bike:
Tackling a tough climb or sprint? Focus on your breathing. Instead of shallow, rapid breaths, exhale fully before taking a deep inhale. Keep your head up, shoulders relaxed, and engage your core to channel your strength efficiently. The result? A smoother, more enjoyable ride—even on the steepest climbs!

Blending two complementary practices in one session. It begins with a 30-minute high-energy spin ride and transitions into a 28-minute restorative yoga flow to stretch, strengthen, and center your mind.

Take it to the next level with this 60-minute hybrid class. Starting with 28 minutes of rhythmic spin and following up with 28 minutes of high-intensity interval training for a full-body workout.
Ready for Your First Class? Here's What to Expect:
A friendly team member will offer to lend you studio cycling shoes (SPD clips), free of charge, or you can use your sneakers if you prefer! They will then give you a tour and help you to set up your bike.
Your instructor will guide you through the class, encouraging participation, questions and feedback.
Adjust resistance with the red knob: turn right to increase, left to decrease, and press down to stop.
